APPUI advocates for the definition and implementation of digital transformation in Cameroonian municipalities

How to build the future of municipalities with the promulgation by the President of the Republic of the General Code of Decentralized Territorial Collectivities and after the serious health crisis caused by the Covid-19 epidemic? On analysis, several pillars are at the heart of the municipality (city): planning and management of services, infrastructure services and human services. In addition, the city is in fact facing four major phenomena, requiring the implementation of a series of actions: increasing urbanization, climate change and awareness of the scarcity of resources, the low budget or finances. , and the competition between cities. Faced with these pillars and phenomena, the “smart city” appears, thanks to technology and the availability of data, as a possible response. In this perspective, Prof. Adolphe Ayissi Eteme, Founder of APPUI (Private Agency for the Promotion of Town Planning and Informatics), suggests that Cameroonian municipalities put in place effective, rationalized, stimulating digital transformation strategies that allow the fusion between digital and the environment, for towns where life is good.
