Open data
Defines structured data, under free license, accessible to all. The objective is to promote the reuse of data to generate new uses. It is a device for automatically feeding a data warehouse / portal, with services. The evolution of data management in administrations and / or companies is living its fourth age:
1) The paper age: registers (civil status, cadastre, etc.) and other documents have long been one of the main frameworks for the organization of the State and local authorities;
2) Computerization: IT, the basic object of which is data management, has greatly enlarged the scope of public or private data and their purposes, which are diversified by accompanying the increasing complexity of business management. The computer revolution in the 1980s was accompanied by the phenomenal increase in the computing power of computers;
3) The Internet: the Internet revolution allowed computers to be networked in the early 1990s and the emergence of Web 2.0;
4) Digital: the data revolution, which we are currently going through, has exploded models with the multiplication of data flows and production sources. It places value creation on the data side and not on the side of the tools used to manipulate it.
