Easter 2020 and compliance with measures to combat Covid-19

The Christians of Cameroon commemorated Sunday, April 12, 2020, the resurrection of Christ, a feast which was made with scrupulous respect for the barrier measures against the spread of Covid-19. The great influx of great days was not perceptible during the pontifical mass celebrated in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory in Yaoundé by Mgr Jean Mbarga, Metropolitan Archbishop. For good reason, the quota of 50 people authorized to take part in the Eucharistic celebration. Inside, social distancing is respected. The faithful even go beyond the meter recommended by public authorities and the World Health Organization (WHO). After an hour, the mass is said not without the Archbishop of Yaoundé calling for assistance and all the Christians of the country who followed the mass on television, to respect the barrier measures to limit, then break the chains of transmission of the pandemic prescribed by the President of the Republic and the WHO.
