Import - Export: Cameroon wants to raise the computer fee to 1% of the taxable value of goods
This measure is provided for in the 2023 Finance Bill. "The rate of the service charge known as the "computer fee" is set at 1% of the taxable value of goods, compared to 0.45% previously. This levy is capped at 15,000 FCFA per export declaration," the text reads. The document adds that the benefits of this fee will be allocated to 75% to the state budget and 25% for the development of Information Communication and Technology (ICT), modernization projects and monitoring of customs activity.
