Obala: Some 75 families affected by the floods last May have benefited from state help.
The Minister of Territorial Administration (MINAT), Mr. Paul ATANGA NJI, on behalf of the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA, handed over on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, a batch of materials to the populations affected by the floods to relieve them. The beneficiaries of this aid from the Presidential Couple received buckets, blankets, mattresses, rice, vegetable oil, soap and sardines. In addition, an amount of 10 000 FCFA was given to each family to facilitate their transportation. "The Head of State told me to come and see you this morning saying that you are a responsible population. You are a population that works. That is why, despite the floods, you have remained Republicans and you have made a simple request that was transmitted to us by the Prefect and the Head of State asked us to respond favorably, to come and greet you and to say that these grievances have been well received and that you deserve his support and assistance," said MINAT at the microphones of CRTV.
