The social question: experts reflected on the situation, during a conference organized by the sociology department of the University of Yaoundé I (UYI)
The work of the conference "Social question in Cameroon: forms, challenges and avenues of answers", was opened on Wednesday October 06, 2021 at Amphi 700 by Prof. Luc Calvin Owono, representative of the Rector. During 03 days, the debates focused on topics as diverse as they are varied such as inclusion, decentralization, social media, identity conflicts and land issues, issues of social violence and insecurity. All these questions are important in the current life of our society and deserve the reflection of academics, said Luc Calvin Owono. The colloquium, which ended on October 8, 2021, was also organized in tribute to the sociologist Jean Marc Ela, of late memory and thinker of the social question.
